What is the difference between SPF and UPF?

Sun Protection Factor (SPF), is the rating system used for sunscreens, makeup, and other protective products. It measures the amount of time it takes for sun-exposed skin to burn or redden. Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) indicates how much of the sun’s ultraviolet radiation is absorbed by a material. It measures the amount of UV radiation that penetrates a fabric and reaches the skin.
